Spring 2008. It's an exciting time at Keowee Mountain. Plans have been finalized and construction has begun on two major areas of the property, the Cliffside Cottages and The Lodge at Keowee Mountain.
The Lodge marks the start of the major amenities at Keowee Mountain. The roughly 3000 square-foot building will house a concierge station, private library/conference room, two separate gathering areas with fireplaces, the KM Pub, business center, fitness gym, and catering kitchen. State-of-the-art technology, media and WiFi will be available for all residents to use. Outdoor gathering areas will include large, covered wrap-around porches with plenty of seating, and a sizable patio area that will adjoin the pool. The resort-style pool will look out on a beautiful mountainscape. Near the pool, the tiki hut area will provide a shaded spot for grilling out with friends. Stone pillars and beautiful woods set the Craftsman-style architecture indicative of Keowee Mountain design. The Lodge was designed by Greenville architectural firm The Ellis Group, PA.
The Cliffside Cottages are going to be a stylish, affordable addition to the Keowee Mountain residences. Designed by Southern Living™, the mountain cottage plans utilize open gathering/dining areas, outdoor living spaces, lots of windows for gorgeous mountain views, designer kitchens, and a variety of optional rooms like lofts, extra bedroom suites, café decks and sleeping porches. In addition to all of the luxurious details of the homes, they will be built to EarthCraft™ standards, which means they will be among the most energy-efficient homes available in the market today. Cottage prices start at $275K and are available with a number of beautiful options.
Meritus Signature Homes, one of our preferred builders, will be building all of their homes at Keowee Mountain to EarthCraft™ standards, not just the cottages.
"It's important for us as builders to give our customers the most beautiful, energy-saving homes that we can provide, "says Jeff Viney, co-founder of Meritus. "It's good for the environment, and great for the homeowner."
